Edith R. Wilkins, 89, of Washington, IN passed away June 12, 2017.
Born December 30, 1927 in Mellrichstadt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Lina (Starkloff) Duenisch. She graduated from High School, and Beauty College in Germany. She married James F. Wilkins, who preceded her in death. Edith was a member of The First Baptist Church in Washington. She worked as a Hairdresser for more than sixty years. She is survived by her Sons, Robert H. (Treena) Wilkins and John D. (Nancy) Wilkins; Grandchildren, Collin Wilkins, Daniel (Liz) Wilkins, Marcus Wilkins, Thomas Wilkins, Amber (John) Jackson, and Ashley Jackson; Great Grandchildren Ava Jackson, Leah Jackson and Willow Wilkins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and two Brothers.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Gill Funeral Home. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sugarland Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.gillsince 1872.com
