Potentia Inc. says its planned $65 billion development in Sullivan County is expected to bring thousands of jobs and major infrastructure investment to the area. Company officials estimate the project will create up to 2,750 construction jobs during peak building phases, along with about 500 permanent positions, including technicians, engineers, and facility managers. The development will include a large-scale data center and additional infrastructure improvements, including a $50 million investment to support local growth. Potentia also plans to donate land for a new fire station. The company also says it plans to contribute $4.5 million to support local nonprofits, parks, and community initiatives. In terms of sustainability, officials say the facility will operate using a closed-loop water system that recycles water, limiting freshwater use to about the same level as 200 households, or a busy car wash.
