Shannon K. Baker, 67, of Elnora, Indiana, passed from this life with family by her side, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. She was born on September 6, 1958, in Washington, Indiana to Woodrow V.‘Woody’ and Kathryn Mae ‘Kate’ (Dale) Baker.
Shannon was of the Protestant faith. She was a homemaker and worked in manufacturing for many years.
Family left to cherish the memory of Shannon includes son, Coty Baker-Shake of Elnora; three daughters, Autumn Baker of Terre Haute, Erica Baker of Hymera and Kathy Baker of Elnora; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Becky (Tim) Pearson of Bloomfield and Cathy Thompson (companion Karl Reynolds) of Elnora; four brothers, David (Gina) Baker of Madison, OH, Woody Baker of Elnora, James (Sheila) Baker of Washington and Bob (Aleta) Baker of Elnora; two half-brothers, Mike (Glenda) Baker of Florida and Phillip Baker of Washington.
Shannon was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Merri Christine Mottern, LaDonna Bowen and Judy Fluckey; half-brothers, Jerry, Joseph and Donald Baker.
Funeral services to honor the life of Shannon will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Dan Ford officiating. Shannon will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
