Our Community Foundation has awarded the 2026 Everly Kate Montgomery Scholarship to Ella Woodruff, a senior at North Daviess High School. Woodruff plans to study Radiation Therapy at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington. The scholarship is funded through an endowment created by Joel and Heather Montgomery in memory of their daughter, Everly. Foundation officials say the scholarship honors students for their involvement in school, church, and community activities, while also recognizing a love of reading, something Everly was passionate about. The Montgomery family says this year’s award was especially meaningful, as it coincided with what would have been Everly’s 14th birthday. Donations to support the scholarship fund remain open through Our Community Foundation.
