The annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive is coming up. On the second Saturday in May, community members are encouraged to leave a bag of nonperishable food items next to their mailbox. Local postal carriers will collect the donations as they make their regular routes. Organizers say the event is a simple way to support local families in need, with all donated items going to area food pantries. Residents are reminded to have their donations set out by Saturday morning to ensure pickup.
