The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation has awarded $19,250 in Health Careers Scholarships to area students for 2026. Recipients include Jacquelyn Shots of Washington, who received a $5,000 nursing scholarship, and Marydith Borders, who was awarded a $2,000 Dr. Suresh Lohano Scholarship. Several students received $1,500 awards, including Hanna Skomp, Lindsey Nolan, Eliana Sellers, Hannah Yoder, Kasey Freed and Katie Sites. Makayla Ervin received a $1,000 scholarship from the DCH Auxiliary. Additional recipients include Ellie Allen and Catherine Van Der Aa, who each received $750 scholarships, along with Maeli Stoll, who received a $750 Helen Arthur Memorial Scholarship.
