Two public hearings are scheduled for Monday, April 27 in Washington to address city financial matters. The hearings will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at 200 Harned Avenue. A Washington Common Council meeting will follow the hearings, where council members are expected to take action on several ordinances, including updates to city code, additional appropriations, and electric utility rates. An ordinance related to animal control fees will also be introduced.
Following the council meeting, the Board of Public Works and Safety will meet to consider requests including a Fourth of July parade, a temporary Main Street closure for a community event, and other city business.
