
Several Indiana State Police troopers were recognized Tuesday for their work in law enforcement across southern Indiana. Trooper Tanner Hurley of the Evansville District received multiple honors, including the Life Award, Top OWI Trooper for the district, and Trooper of the District, after making 72 impaired driving arrests in 2025. From the Jasper District, Trooper Kayla Denk-Mundy was named Trooper of the District for 2025, while Trooper Leah Schnell received the district’s Top OWI Award after arresting 30 impaired drivers. All three troopers were recognized in Indianapolis by State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott for their efforts in enforcement and public safety.
