Daviess County Republicans gathered last night for the annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the 4-H Center at Eastside Park. State and local candidates spoke to the crowd about why they are running and gave their plans for the future. The keynote speaker was Congressman Mark Messmer, who recapped his freshman year in D.C. and highlighted accomplishments. Tom Stephens was presented with the Helen Jones award for his service to the local Daviess County GOP over the years. A crowd of around 150 people attended last night’s event.
