CommonSpirit Health at Home to Acquire Good Samaritan Hospice

good-samaritan-hospital-2

Good Samaritan has announced that CommonSpirit Health at Home will acquire and operate Good Samaritan Hospice, ensuring uninterrupted hospice care for patients and families in Indiana and Illinois. The transition, effective February 1, 2026, follows Good Samaritan’s earlier plan to close its hospice program by the end of 2025. CommonSpirit Health at Home, a longtime partner in Good Samaritan Home Care Services, was selected to continue hospice operations with the same local caregivers and leadership. The hospice will retain the Good Samaritan name, as well as bereavement and volunteer programs. Good Samaritan will maintain its palliative care services and continue directing community donations toward hospice support through the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.
