Albert Knepp Jr., 61, of Montgomery, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 23, 1963, in Daviess County, Indiana to Albert and Lydia (Shrock) Knepp.
Albert was a member of Mt. Olive Mennonite Church. He worked in construction for over 40 years. Albert was a hard worker and took pride in doing a good job. He enjoyed taking care of his orchard and working on the farm, but what he loved most was spending time with his family and grandchildren. Albert will be remembered as a soft spoken and humble man, who cared for his family, church, and community deeply. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his father- in -law, Paul Joe Wagler, his brother- in -law, Dave Helm, and sister – in – law, Geraldine Knepp.
Albert is survived by his wife, Loretta Kay ( Wagler) Knepp, their children, Teresa (Darrell) Swartzentruber, Rosa (Roger) Graber, Lavina (Levi ) Fisher, Delmar ( Jessica) Knepp, Rachel Knepp and special friend – David King, Randell Knepp, Krista Knepp, grandchildren, Kara, Kiann, Kaylor, Kalen, and Klayton Swartzentruber, Harrison and Trace Graber, Jaxson and Addi Fisher, Briggs Knepp, his mother- in- law, Rosemary Wagler, his siblings, Mary Catherine (Dave) Helm, Pauline (Herman) Wagler, Anna Mae (David G. ) Knepp, Carolyn (Leroy) Miller, Ervin (Mary) Knepp, Lavern (Geraldine) Knepp, Lester ( Rosanna) Knepp, Willard (Linda) Knepp, Susie ( John) Wittmer, Verda (Solly) Graber, Omer (Dorothy) Knepp, Harvey ( Marilyn Sue) Knepp, Laura Rose (Norman) Wagler, Mark Eugene (Dorothy) Knepp, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2025, at 10:00 A.M at Mt. Olive Mennonite Church in Montgomery, Indiana. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will begin on Sunday July 6, 2025 from 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Mt. Olive Mennonite Church, and Monday July 7, 2025 from 1:00 P.M until 4:00 P.M and then resume 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M.
