On February 4, 2024, around 10:51 p.m., the Washington Police Department responded to a reported disturbance involving a firearm in the 1800 block of McCormick Ave. Three individuals were shot during the incident, with one pronounced deceased at the scene and the other two transported to the hospital. The suspect, also injured, has been taken to the hospital. The situation is under active investigation with the assistance of Indiana State Police, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the Daviess County Prosecutor’s Office, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, and the Daviess County DCS.
