Some sections of Indiana’s abortion law have been struck down by a federal judge, however, significant portions have been left intact by Judge Sarah Evans Barker–including the ultrasound and 18-hour delay required before having an abortion.
Overturned by Judge Barker is the ban on telemedicine, new demands placed on abortion facilities, disclosure of the pain that may be felt by a fetus, and the requirement for personal counseling. All were declared unconstitutional.
The President of Indiana Right to Life calls the ruling “horrific.”
