Lydia Lou Stafford, 75, of Wheatland, IN, passed away March 27, 2019, at her home.

Lou’s passion was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to their ballgames, and going on vacation with them. Lou liked to mow and was proud of keeping her yard trimmed. She was an avid IU Basketball fan, and a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Washington, IN.

Her last job was at the St. Louis Soda Shoppe. She had also worked in the cafeteria at Good Samaritan Hospital and the Wheatland Drug Store. Lou had cleaned homes and been a caregiver for people in their homes.

Born December 1, 1943, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Ersal and Lillian (Small) Harrell. Her parents; her husband, Donald Stafford; and two grandsons, Jimmy and Caleb Russell preceded her.

Surviving are her children, Diana Russell and her husband, Jim, of Wheatland, IN, Tina Beaman and her companion, Bruce Hirter, of Robinson, IL, Doug Stafford of Vincennes, IN, Dexter Stafford and his wife, Elaine, of Vincennes, IN and Dennis Stafford and his wife, Michelle, of Vincennes, IN; her sister, Sue Miley and her husband, Don, of Wheatland, In; her brother, Jerry Harrell and his wife, Judy, of Wheatland, IN; her grandchildren, Brittan Carrie and her husband, Richard, of Wheatland, IN, Hannah Russell of Vincennes, IN, Ivory Popa and her husband, Romeo, of Vincennes, IN, Charity Russell of Vincennes, IN, Hilary Davis and her husband, Tucker, of Princeton, IN, Daniel Stafford of Vincennes, IN, Jacob Stafford of Vincennes, IN, Kyle Stafford of Washington, IN, Casey Stafford and his wife, Melanie, of Boonville, IN, and Reagan Stafford of Vincennes, IN; her great-grandchildren, Emma Russell, Joanna Moore, Libby Moore, Constantine Popa, Edward Tate, James Tate, and Connor Davis; and her dog, Daisey Mae.

Friends may visit with Lou’s family from 1:00 – 3:00 on Saturday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 3:00 on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Wheatland Cemetery.
