A Washington woman was jailed Wednesday for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and reckless driving. 25-year-old Michelle L. Knepp was lodged in the Daviess County Security Center without bond after the investigation on Wednesday at Southeast 3rd and East National Highway.

The Daviess County Sherriff’s Department reports they arrested 37-year-old Jon-Michael D. Mathis of Washington Wednesday. Mathis was charged with possession of marijuana over 30 grams. Bond was set at $2500.

A traffic stop in Vincennes turned up meth and $4000 in cash.
Police stopped the vehicle for speeding at 9:30 last night. It was driven by 39-year-old Christopher L. Tewell of Lawrenceville, Illinois. A k9 was used during the stop which indicated a presence of drugs.
The meth and money were found in the vehicle.
Tewell ios charged with possession of meth and was jailed in Knox County on a $5000 bond.
