The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department is reminding residents they do not call to request money or, to inform you of a warrant.
The department has received complaints concerning phone calls from numbers that resemble the Sheriff’s Office number. The callers are saying that they are the IRS, or that the person answering has a warrant and they need to pay a fine.
Again the Sheriff’s office reports that the phone calls are a scam.
