The Daviess County Museum at 212 E. Main Street in Washington will host “Adventure Awaits”, a grand opening fundraiser and reception on Saturday, July 2nd from 5-7:30pm. Admission is $25 at the door. After six months and thousands of volunteer hours, the Daviess County Museum is excited to welcome back patrons for this special preview evening. Throughout the event, guests will be able to seek out treasures throughout the museum with a scavenger hunt of items from the collection. They will also see demonstrations of the museum’s archiving and preservation process from museum volunteers. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served. Guests are invited to come in their finest historic and vintage clothing to match members of the museum’s volunteer team.
