City of Washington Bicentennial Celebration to Kick Off Friday

Beginning tomorrow (Friday) the 10-day City of Washington Bicentennial Celebration kicks off in Eastside Park. Kip Kelley, Washington Parks & Recreation Superintendent, said carnival rides, concession and games will open at 5pm Friday, and at 3pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  The celebration will continue with a ton of entertainment. Friday opens with Daviess County has Talent Show. Kip tells us a little more about that:

Saturday’s entertainment will kick off with the band Starbound at 3pm, and the 80’s band Brave New Wave at 7pm. Sunday’s entertainment is Centerline at 3:30pm and Antioch Praise Band at 7pm. Monday at 4pm will be Terry Lee & the Rock-a-boogie Band, and Zach Day and Full Throttle will play until the fireworks show Monday night. Kelley says Monday night’s fireworks are extra special this year:

Because of the Bicentennial, new events were also planned for this year:
