One teacher union wants teachers vaccinated

One of Indiana’s largest teachers’ unions says teachers are too far down on the coronavirus vaccination list. Sally Sloan with the Indiana chapter of the American Federation of Teachers this week said because Indiana is distributing the vaccine based on age, many teachers in the state are going to have to wait to get their shots. Sloan says if lawmakers want to reopen Indiana schools, they are going to have to get teachers vaccinated. So far, Indiana’s focus has been on frontline healthcare workers and the elderly. Governor Eric Holcomb says the state wants to protect the people who are most at risk from the virus first.
