Stephen “Steve” R. Vieke, 59, of Vincennes went to be with the Lord at 8:45 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his residence.
He was born July 24, 1959 in Vincennes, Indiana to William and Jo Ann (McCrary) Vieke.
Steve drove a fuel truck for Ceres Solutions, a job in which he loved. Steve attended the Wabash Community Church. He loved all his family and enjoyed farming and in his earlier years he enjoyed racing motorcycles.
Those left to cherish Steve’s memories are his wife, Terry Ewer Vieke; his mother, Jo Ann McCrary Vieke of Vincennes; his son Andy Vieke and his wife Susan of Vincennes; his sister, Sandy Raney of Decker; two grandchildren, Maggie Vieke and Will Vieke; his Father in law, Rowland Steffey, sister in law Debra Halter of Vincennes, Step-son, John Ewer and his wife Sarah of Vincennes; and his step grandchildren, Dalton Ewer, Briar Page, and Dalton Bright.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Vieke.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 25, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Dale Biehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Riley Children’s Hospital.
