Wilford Lee Sherman, 76, passed away at 4:38 pm on March 17, 2019 at Daviess Community Hospital.
He was born on September 15, 1942 in Pike County the son of Harry A. and Cleta Arlene (Willis) Sherman. Wilford married Judith Barnes Littell on February 26, 1960 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2012.
Wilford worked for Roadway Express for several years retiring from there and was a member of the Moose, American Legion, Eagles and the Teamsters. He loved to garden, play golf and sing karaoke. Wilford also enjoyed automobile racing, classic cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Kerri Collison of Washington, Kris Williams and her husband Stuart of Danville, IN; sons, Jeff Sherman and his companion Kim Huffines of Bloomington, Brian Sherman and his wife Vickie of Washington; his grandchildren, Garrett Collison and his wife Jenelle, Rachel Collison, Shayne Williams, Briley Williams, Jordan Sherman and his wife Ashley, Mitchell Sherman, Olivia Sherman, Amber Cook and her husband Tracy, Abbi Bratton and her husband Kaleb; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Sherman of Columbus, IN and Dean Gentry of Washington. Wilford was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Judith Barnes Sherman.
Friends may visit with Wilford’s family on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN. Wilford’s funeral service will begin at the conclusion of visitation at 2:00 pm with Pastor Faye Bilskie officiating. Interment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
