Wanted man arrested in Clay County back in Daviess Co.

-39-year-old Erick Pedraza of Washington is back in Daviess County.  He was booked into the Daviess County Security Center on Friday on warrants for Failure to Appear in Court for OWI Endangerment and Refusal, Carrying a Handgun without a License, Pointing a Firearm, Battery with Bodily Injury and Invasion of Privacy.   As reported earlier this week, Pedraza was arrested in Clay County after Brazil Police say he allegedly sent intimidating messages to a Clay County woman who worked at a Putnam County business.  Those messages included images of human mutilation, weapons and of him firing weapons out of a moving car.  Pedraza, who goes by several aliases, was taken into custody without incident at his residence in Seelyville.   He was jailed in Washington yesterday on a $29,000 bond.

 -41-year-old Amanda Wininger and 41-year-old Betty Edmonson both of Washington were arrested for Fraud and Attempted Fraud. The arrests were made Friday by Washington Police.

-40-year-old Trina Sturgeon of Elnora was jailed Friday on a warrant for Counterfeiting, Theft and 3 counts of Controlled Substance Registration Violation.  Bond was posted.

-Two Martin County women have been arrested for allegedly stealing $4000 by making fraudulent Western Union transactions at the Shoals Jay C Food Store.   The Martin County Sheriff’s Department and Kroger Loss Prevention staff discovered that the thefts occurred between July 23rd and August 26th.    Arrested in the investigation were 35-year-old Melissa Gibson of Shoals and 44-year-old Patty Tolbert of Loogootee are both charged with Level 6 Felony Theft and has posted bond.
