Two arrested for fake money transfers in Shoals

Two Martin County women have been arrested for allegedly stealing $4000 by making fraudulent Western Union transactions at the Shoals Jay C Food Store.

          The Martin County Sheriff’s Department and Kroger Loss Prevention staff discovered that the thefts occurred between July 23rd and August 26th.

          Arrested in the investigation were 35-year-old Melissa Gibson of Shoals and 44-year-old Patty Tolbert of Loogootee are both charged with Level 6 Felony Theft and has posted bond.
