A celebration for Martin Luther King Jr. will be held at Beulah AME Church on Monday, January 17th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Several churches are involved in the program. There will be several guest speakers along with live music preformed by pianist Johnathan Clark. David “Big Dave” DeJernett will also be honored at the event. Don Spillman will be talking about DeJernett and his run with the Washington Hatchets. David DeJernett was the first African American to play and win the state basketball finals.
