COVID-19 has officially infected more than half a million Hoosiers. On Tuesday, the Indiana Department of Health reported 4,028 new cases of COVID-19 across the state. That brings the total number of Hoosiers who’ve tested positive to 500,282. The department also reported 164 new deaths, bringing the total number of Hoosiers who’ve died due to the virus to 7,703. So far, over 5.5-million Hoosiers have been tested for coronavirus. Indiana’s current overall positivity rate is at 10.5-percent, while the seven-day positivity rate sits at 14.1-percent.
