OCF Awards Teaching Innovator Grant for Veale STEM Day

Our Community Foundation has awarded a $250 second-semester Teaching Innovator Grant to Washington Community Schools in support of a STEM Day at Veale Elementary. Teacher Flo Lloyd was named a Teaching Innovator and accepted the award. The grant will help fund hands-on STEM activities, including robotics, circuit building, chemistry exploration, and coding challenges designed to strengthen students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
