State Police and police in Jasper along with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department have been working together this week to solve two reported burglaries.
The crimes occurred in Ireland in Dubois County on Monday night. Two homes on Dubois County Road 550-west were the targets. There was nothing missing from one home while the second homeowner said a large sum of cash from a safe, a 1999 Ford truck and other items were reported stolen.
The truck was located several hours after the report in Pike County. During the investigation, 5 people were named as persons of interest and four of the five were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in the incidents.
The four were identified as 19-year-old Gina M. Kiffner, 18-year-old Kyle A. Peckinpaugh and one 17 year old male and 17 year old girl all from Jasper. The 5th subject was said to be Savion K. Frey who was still being sought.
The investigation continues.
