A Vincennes man was arrested by Conservation Officers for the theft of a boat.
The Indiana DNR reports that their department received reports of suspicious activity. The investigation discovered that that 38-year-old Chad W. Taylor had allegedly taken a boat from the Wabash River early Saturday morning without the owner’s permission.
Later Satuday morning, two fisherman reported being flagged down by a person matching Taylor’s description. They said the person needed gas, The fisherman became suspicious of the man and his lack of knowledge of the boat.
The boat was later located at river cabins on the White River and Taylor admitted taking the boat and he was booked into the Knox County Jail.
