The Daviess County Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with many other local agencies and civic groups in a press release this week announced several improvements to downtown Washington.
The new Welcome to Washington banners hang on the light poles and a large banner was added to Meredith Plaza. The Washington Arts and Flowers Garden Club has added hanging baskets and flowers scattered throughout downtown. Wi-Fi access is now available at the Gazebo in the Meredith Park with the help of RTC. Wi-Fi access is free for up to two hours in the area. And future plans are in place to stretch the Wi-Fi access on up to the new Bicentennial Park.
If you would like to be a part of improving downtown Washington, the Heartbeat of Washington group meets the first Monday of each month at 4:30pm at the Cherry Ghost Coffee House.
