An Environmental Impact Study is underway on the Mid States Corridor Project. Thats what officials say is an improved highway connection going from the Natcher Bridge on the Ohio at Rockport through Huntinburg/Jasper area to connect to I69 either directly or via State Road 37.
Public meetings have been scheduled to introduce the public to the project, explain the tiered study approach, and describe possible corridors along the route. The first meeting is this coming Monday in Washington at 5:30 at Washington High School. The gathering will be an open house type format where you can drop in when you can to ask questions and offer your input.
