Two people were arrested late Friday night in Knox County following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of suspected drugs. Indiana State Police say Trooper Tanner Hurley stopped a vehicle for speeding on U.S. 41 near Vincennes around 11:30 p.m. During the stop, a K-9 unit from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist. The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search of the vehicle. Officers located several small bags containing approximately 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver, 39-year-old Megan Burns of Vincennes, and passenger, 56-year-old Victor Sobolewski of Washington, were taken into custody and transported to the Knox County Jail. Both face multiple preliminary charges, including dealing and possession of methamphetamine.
