Emergency crews responded to a personal injury crash Monday evening on Axtell Avenue in Washington. The accident was reported around 6:54 p.m., when a caller told dispatch their neighbor had crashed but appeared to be uninjured after exiting the vehicle. Washington Police, Fire Department, and Daviess County EMS arrived within minutes. According to reports, the vehicle struck an AT&T utility pole, causing visible damage but no fire or serious injuries. The pole was slightly displaced in the ground. Briggeman’s Towing removed both vehicles from the scene. The Washington Police Department is handling the investigation, and a state crash report will be filed.
