Officials in Daviess County continue to monitor flooding and road damage following heavy rainfall earlier this week, with several county roads remaining closed as of Wednesday evening. County officials say the following roads remain closed due to high water until further notice: 1100 East between 1475 North and 1575 North, 1450 North between 1100 East and 1025 East, 450 East between 725 North and 750 North, and Old Vincennes Road (County Road 150 North). Additional closures remain in place because of culvert washouts on 900 North between 300 East and 475 East, and between 150 East and 250 East. Meanwhile, the Indiana Department of Transportation reported Wednesday night that water was crossing State Road 358 at the Daviess-Knox County line, with barricades expected to be placed in the area. State Road 257 remained open as of Wednesday night. Daviess County Central Dispatch also reported high water covering County Road 100 West, also known as Edwardsport Road, from County Road 600 North to State Road 358. Authorities are reminding drivers not to travel through high water, warning that portions of the roadway could be washed out.
