Kim Jay Carroll, 58, of Washington, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital SUnday.
Kim was born on May 22, 1957, the son of James and Shirley (Mattingly) Winburn.
He was a college graduate, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a CSX Railroad engineer for 21 years. He married Pamela (Goeddel) on Nov. 8, 1978, and she survives. He was a member of the O’Fallen Moose Lodge and BLE Railroad Union.
Other survivors are daughters Amanda Carroll of Vincennes, Carlin (Arron) Padgett of Plainville; daughter-in-law Kristen Carroll Stedman of Odon; grandchildren Caleb Owen Padgett, Abigail Lavon Padgett, Jonathan Matthew Carroll, Harley Katherine Carroll, Wyatt Ryne Carroll; sister Tammra Denning of Des Moines, Iowa; brothers Richard Carroll of Salem, Connecticut, Mark Carroll of Belleville, Illinois; and mother, Shirley Ann Winburn of O’Fallen, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by a son, James Carroll in 2010, and his father, James Winburn.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Rev. David Woodrum officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
