Joseph C. “Joe” Lynn, 81, passed away at 2 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
He was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Plainville, to Granville and Vivian (Duzan) Lynn.
He attended Plainville High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a long distance freight truck driver. He was a member of Plainville Christian Church and enjoyed flying locally in his plane.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Sims) Lynn, whom he married Aug. 1, 1956; four children, Shirley Harmon (Rudy) of North Carolina, Tony Lynn (Mary) of Illinois, Cindy Paul (Philip) of Plainville, and Steve Lynn (Brenda Weaver) of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilee Bynum of Washington.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Bunte; one brother, Jack Lynn; and one brother-in-law, John Bynum.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Plainville Cemetery, with Pastor Richard Smith officiating.
