This week is National Police Week, observed May 10th-May 16th. We recognize and honor the brave men and women of law enforcement who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving their communities and remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Whether responding to emergencies, assisting citizens, or serving behind the scenes, your efforts make a lasting difference within our community. To all law enforcement officers across the country, thank you for your sacrifice, service, and continued commitment to keeping our communities safe. The local FOP Lodge 101 will be hosting a benefit golf scramble on Saturday at 10am at the Washington Country Club. The cost is $200. To register your team, call 812-664-8137. And a special law enforcement memorial ceremony will be held Friday at 1pm at the Daviess County Courthouse steps. All are encouraged to attend.
