
Washington city officials will meet Monday evening for a regularly scheduled Common Council meeting at City Hall. Prior to the 6:30 p.m. meeting, Mayor David Rhoads will administer the oath of office to the city’s newest firefighter, Jack Riddle. During the meeting, council members are expected to consider several resolutions and ordinances, including transferring dormant funds, changes within the police budget, updates to city code, and utility rate adjustments. Officials will also hear information regarding rental property registration requirements. Following the council meeting, the Board of Public Works and Safety will meet to discuss items including parking requests, the annual Fourth of July parade, sidewalk and curb work, and other city business.
