The Detroit Lions are trading veteran running back David Montgomery to the Houston Texans.
With the Cleveland Browns trying to decide on their quarterback of the future, the team made a move Monday aimed at helping whoever winds up getting the job heading into 2026. The team reportedly acquired right tackle Tytus Howard in a trade with the Houston Texans and immediately signed Howard to a three-year, $63 million extension
Dallas owner Jerry Jones told reporters at the combine that he plans to ‘bust the budget’ in free agency to help the Cowboys defensively. The 83-year-old Jones said he feels he’s let Cowboys fans down by not constructing a roster worthy of another championship.

Colorado quarterback Dominiq Ponder died this weekend, head coach Deion Sanders confirmed on Sunday afternoon.  Ponder was 23 years old.

Chad Baker-Mazara’s time with USC is over. The 26 year old  transfer from Auburn has averaged 18.5 points, 4.2 rebounds this season with the Trojans, all of which have been career highs. He’s USC’s leading scorer and was the Maui Invitational MVP in November.  The Trojans announced that Baker-Mazara was no longer with the program and that there wasn’t one specific incident but “an accumulation of issues” that led to his dismissal.
