On Friday, the local and state economies got a large boost, and a significant step in our national security was taken with the ribbon cutting at the NHANCED Semiconductor Assembly Facility at the Westgate at Crane Tech Park.

NHANCED Semiconductors is a U.S.-based pure-play packaging foundry specializing in leading-edge technology.

NHANCED President Bob Patti told the crowd that future expansion is already planned.

U.S. Senator Todd Young said the initiatives help both Indiana’s economy and enhance our national defense.

The crowd also heard from Andrea Richter-Garry, Senior Vice President of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, who talked about the facility’s impact on the local and state economies, and Dr. Kyle Warner, who emphasized the impact on Crane’s ability to give American warfighters the advantage of advanced technologies.

NHANCED Semiconductor will be the anchor tenant, along with three other semiconductor companies, at a ten-acre development. The combined companies are expected to create more than 500 jobs with an average salary of more than $100,000 per year.
