The Daviess County Treasurer, Jamie K. Chapman, wants to ensure residents are aware of the upcoming property tax deadline. The second installment of property taxes is due by Monday, November 13th. To avoid penalties, taxpayers are encouraged to mail their payments early, as payments postmarked after November 13th will automatically incur a penalty. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The treasurer’s office will be closed on Tuesday, November 7th, for Election Day and Friday, November 10th, for Veterans Day. Since November 10th is a holiday, taxes will be due on Monday, November 13th. For added convenience, credit card payments can be made online at www.govtechtaxpro.com or by calling 844-678-1656. Payments can also be made by credit or debit card or e-check. Remember to bring your tax statements if you plan to visit the treasurer’s office in person.
