Residents of Shoals are excited as the town’s library gets ready for a transformation. The Shoals Public Library recently announced that it has secured a $500,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs to renovate and expand its century-old building. The primary aim is to bring a modern touch to this classic facility. The renovation will also address past accessibility issues, with updates planned for the current structure, an additional 1600 square feet of space, an expanded children’s center, an elevator, and a handicap entrance. However, the final reveal will have to wait a bit longer, with the project expected to be completed sometime in 2025.
