Major Structure Fire Engulfs Residence on Worstell Road in Knox CO., Prompting Multi-Department Response

Multiple fire departments responded to a significant structure fire yesterday morning at 1882 South Worstell Road in Knox County. The residence, owned by David and Emily Worstell, caught fire around 4 a.m. Fire crews arrived to find flames already showing through the roof. Palymyra, Harrison, and Steen Township fire departments worked tirelessly to battle the intense blaze, which caused major damage to the property. Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours, successfully extinguishing the flames. However, they were later called back as the fire rekindled. Though the exact cause of the fire is still undetermined, firefighters suspect it may have been triggered by a lightning strike. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
