INDOT has announced lane restrictions for U.S. 41 at Elkhorn Road in Knox County. Starting around Monday, August 7, crews will restrict the north and southbound driving lanes of U.S. 41. This is part of the second phase of the project, which aims to build a reduced conflict intersection at U.S. 41 and Elkhorn Road. During this phase, crews will focus on shoulder improvements, installing lighting and signs, and reconstructing the east side approach of Elkhorn Road. As a result, Elkhorn Road will be closed at the U.S. 41 intersection. The work on phase two is expected to continue through the end of September, with the entire project lasting until the end of October, subject to weather conditions.
