scam-alert-5

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police are urging residents to be cautious of an asphalt scam circulating in the area, specifically targeting homeowners. On July 26, a Bloomfield resident fell victim to the scam when three individuals, representing themselves as an asphalt company, approached his home. The suspects, riding in a white four-door F-150 pickup truck with a red 4×4 emblem, distracted the homeowner while one of them entered the residence and took valuable items. Authorities are advising Hoosier homeowners to be vigilant and, if approached by individuals in a similar vehicle, to immediately contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at 812-384-4411 or Indiana State Police Bloomington Post at 812-332-4411.
