Troopers were patrolling the area around Gregg Park around 11:30 p.m. Friday night when they observed a Chevy driving at a high rate of speed. The posted speed limit is 10 miles per hour in the park. Officers performed a traffic stop and found the 16-year-old male driver appeared to be under the influence. The male driver failed the sobriety test. An open container was also found inside the vehicle. The driver tested .12 percent and was released to his parents. He will face three misdemeanor charges.
