Mary Kay Adams McMahan, 78, of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2022. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana, on July 26, 1943, to Herbert Adams and Wilma Weddle Adams. She graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School in 1961. While there she was a scholar and played a baritone in the high school band. She attended Vincennes University and graduated as a Registered Nurse. On October 24, 1964, she married Daniel L. McMahan in Vincennes.

They lived in St. Louis until September 1966 when her husband was drafted into the army. During his 26 years in the military, they lived for 6 years in Germany and also in Utah, Tennessee, Virginia, Indiana, Alabama, and Florida.  Mary Kay was an avid gardener and a leader in her local garden club.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years; her sons Michael (Melissa) of Decatur, Alabama, and Christopher (Samantha) of Decatur, Georgia; seven grandchildren (Elizabeth, Amelia, Madeline, Anna Kate, Lucy, Evan, and Eryn); and brothers Joe Adams (Gayle), Tom Adams (Dayna), and AJ Adams (Jill) of Vincennes.

Her family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main Street, Vincennes, Indiana, on Friday, August 12. Visitation will be from11:00 to 1:00.  The Funeral service will follow from 1:00 to 2:00.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
