A Princeton City Council member is accused of preparing legal documents without the proper authority.
14 News says Sheri Greene used resources from the Gibson County Assessor’s Office to prepare property deeds for family and friends.
Greene currently sits on the district 4 seat for the Princeton City Council and is also an employee of the Assessor’s Office.
The County Prosecutor says she has allegedly been preparing these documents for several years and that the county is unsure of the amount of money that has been lost as a result.
Greene is charged with Practicing Law by a Non-Attorney and faces a maximum of 180 days in jail and a minimum fine of $1,000.
