Washington line crews have been busy, but not just in our community.
A storm last Monday in Richmond left residents without power amid Tuesday’s high heat. The Indiana Municipal Electric Association was then called to provide aid. IMEA contacted three utilities to assist with the outages and Washington Power & Light responded.
Following work in Richmond, crews returned to Washington to battle the local damage. Auburn Utility and Garrett Utility assisted here in Washington.
Line crews across the area have had a very busy week restoring power and battling storm damage. The IMEA says these utilities come together to restore services and keep the public safe.
In addition, they say if you see a utility crew out and about on a project near home, please tell them “Thank you” for their time and efforts. They truly deserve it.
