The City of Petersburg has announced a new notification service for it’s local residents.
The service is called “REACH Alert” and can notify residents in real time of water main breaks, boil orders, hazmat situations, power outages, road closures, police actions, amber alerts, and civic events.
Residents can sign up for the service at www.reachalert.com.
Just type “Petersburg” into the network name when requested.
You can register up to 4 phone numbers and email addresses per household.
In addition, you can choose a preferred method of contact, whether by phone call, text message, or email.
