Nancy Lee (Helm) Wikle, 86, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born in Washington on April 17, 1936, to Robert and Louise (Waggoner) Helm. She was raised by Dencil and Margaret McCarter.
Nancy was a master beautician for several years. She was a member of the Odon United Methodist Church. She felt privileged to work at her job because she was able to help so many people. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Odon High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be missed by all her family. To know Nancy was to love her. She was an avid basketball fan, loved her horses, novelist, being with her granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband Jack of 66 years, son, David Leon (Stormy) Wikle of Newberry, two granddaughters, Cheyenne (Alex) Wittmer, Shayla Wikle and sister, Karen Borter of Newberry.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eldena Chambers, one brother, Richard Helm and brother-in-law Blackie Borter.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, IN. Nancy will be laid to rest in following graveside services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Daviess High School Basketball Association, in memory of Nancy. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
